Otegha Uwagba “Little Black Book” – book review

I bought Otegha Uwagba’s Little Black Book: A Toolkit for Working Women on a Kindle sale on Amazon. It’s quite short – it took me about an hour or less to read it.

There is some useful advice and inspiration in it – particularly for those women who are considering freelancing. I really like the idea of “a power hour”, which is basically spending your first hour at work on more creative stuff before going caught up in your emails. But some of the book’s contents can be a bit obvious. Get the sleep you need, practice mindfulness, make sure you workout and balance your work and private life- these are all things we know in theory, but practicing them is quite difficult.

The resources section features a nice reading list and some potentially interesting websites and apps.
