Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings -Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is “Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings”

In Polish tradition, it’s actually the Angel and not Santa who brings gifts, but anyhow… they both like bringing books 😉

Be it Christmas or any other occasion, these books are definitely on my wishlist:

  1. Artists and their Cats

9781452133553

A book featuring photos of famous artists and their cats. I’m not sure why I don’t have it already, but I definitely want it

  1. Hamilton: The Revolution9781408709238(1)

I’ve seen the musical, I ‘ve read the biography and I know the lyrics by heart. Please?

  1. Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows9781780622286(1)

I may have fallen victim to the hype, but the book blogging community seems to love this book so much that I feel I ought to check it out

  1. Ansel Adams in the National Parks9780316078467(1)

I saw this gorgeous illustrated hardback in Yosemite and I knew I wanted it – only it was far too heavy to lug back to the UK given my luggage limit…

  1. RSPB Guide to Digital Wildlife PhotographyDigital Wildlife photography

I’d really love to learn more about taking photos of wildlife and this book has really good reviews

  1. Mary Beard Women & Power

Mary Beard Women and Power

A short and snappy feminist manifesto by the renowned classicist? Count me in.

7. George Saunders Lincoln in the Bardo Lincoln in the Bardo

It’s still not available in paperback. I’m waiting till February, when it finally will be…

8. The Amazons: Lives and Legends of Warrior Women Across the Ancient World by Adrienne Mayor Amazons

This is a book published by Yale University Press, which was on sale at the gift shop of the British Museum Scythians exhibition. I really wanted it, but I told myself to stop being unreasonable, any bookshop would be cheaper. Turns out it’s not that easy to acquire this book in the UK…

9. Hemingway’s Cats: An Illustrated Biography

Hemingways Cats

( Because, well, it exists and is full of photos of Hemingway and his cats. What more can a girl want, honestly…)

10.  A surprise book, because who doesn’t love surprises?

Do you own any of these books? Do you like them? Which books are on your Christmas wish list?
