Can we just sit down for a moment and think about how amazing the opening scene of this season was? House Stark has returned to Westeros with a vengeance.
Meanwhile, the rest of the episode reminded me of a series of short Facebook updates.
Cersei’s keen to survey her new dominion, but her brother seems to be cramping her style a little.
The scene with the Hound was heartbreaking, although somewhat dimmed for the non-superfans who might have failed to remember why Sandor Clegane would be so upset about finding those two dead bodies in an abandoned house.
Sam’s struggles in Old Town make the Wall seem a remarkably desireable destination again.
Sansa and Jon Snow keep their arguments in the open, where Littlefinger can smile knowingly at Sansa’s frustration.
Daenerys finally arrived at Dragonstone. I think she’s slightly relying on someone’s advice.
Worrying points:
What is the gift that Euron promises Cersei? I really hope it’s NOT Dragonbinder (the horn that commands dragons). It could be something innocuous like the Sandsnakes’ (the warrior princesses’ of Dorne) heads … could it please NOT be Tyrion’s head?
Everyone seems to be heading to Dragonstone, and the footage from the trailer suggests a battle on the beach there. Could this be coming up soon?
